1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the FocusPug iOS application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

FocusPug is a productivity application that helps you limit access to distracting apps and websites on your iOS device. The App uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks) to apply restrictions to apps and websites you select.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use FocusPug. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the App as part of a Family Sharing group, the family organiser is responsible for ensuring appropriate use.

4. Account & Authorisation

FocusPug does not require you to create an account. The App requires authorisation to use Apple's Family Controls framework on your device. You may revoke this authorisation at any time through iOS Settings or by deleting the App.

5. Privacy & Data

FocusPug operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

• All app selections are handled as opaque tokens — we cannot see which apps you block
• No browsing history, usage data, or personal information is collected
• No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included

6. Subscriptions & Payments

FocusPug may offer premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions via the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

Prices are in the currency of your App Store region and may vary. Price changes will be notified in advance per Apple's policies.

7. Permitted Use

You agree to use FocusPug only for its intended purpose — improving your personal productivity by limiting access to distracting apps and websites. You may not:

• Use the App to restrict another person's device access without their knowledge or consent
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, and branding in FocusPug are owned by FocusPug and are protected by intellectual property laws. The FocusPug name, logo, and pug character illustrations are trademarks of FocusPug. You may not use these without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

FocusPug is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs
• The App will be compatible with all devices or iOS versions
• App or website blocking will be 100% effective in all scenarios

The effectiveness of the App depends on Apple's Screen Time APIs and your device configuration. FocusPug is a productivity aid, not a parental control or security tool.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusPug and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes but is not limited to lost productivity, lost data, or inability to access apps or websites.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Third-Party Services

FocusPug relies on Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. We are not responsible for changes Apple makes to these frameworks that may affect App functionality. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's Standard EULA.

12. Termination

You may stop using FocusPug at any time by deleting the App from your device. This will immediately remove all local data, settings, and app restrictions applied by FocusPug. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any features at any time with reasonable notice.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FocusPug after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
